Reyna Aburto studied Industrial Engineering in her home country, Nicaragua, and holds a degree in Computer Science from Utah Valley University. She owns a small translation business with her husband and is a teacher at the Utah Valley Institute of Religion. She has served as the Second Counselor in the General Relief Society Presidency and is the author of Reaching for the Savior.
